What all of them expected to get out of the course was a Signature Talk that grows their business and a plan of products and services to offer from the stage. They definitely got that, but what they also got was something very unexpected.
In the course we covered the 7 R’s of Compelling Offers – the things that make people far more likely to say “yes” to what you are offering from the stage. While all of them are important, the one R that stands out as the most important is the:
For your audience to say “yes” to you and what you have to offer, they have to feel a strong sense of your:
- confidence that you are great at what you do and worth every penny of their investment
- conviction that what you provide is truly valuable and can help them get the results they want
- and your capability in delivering those results.
These three things add up to make the Right You and that’s what those intrepid women got a taste of in the course.
The challenge is that most people experience self-doubt, especially if they are embarking on a new venture, not to mention speaking for the first time. I know I have and so has just about every client I’ve ever had.
One of the most powerful ways I know to access that confidence, conviction and capability, is to get in touch with what you stand for for the people you serve. Let yourself get fired up about what is important to you and the difference you want to make in the world. What things tick you off? What possibilities do you hold strong to? What results do people get when they work with you or what results have you gotten through personal experience? Validate it. Bring it out. Hell, even shout it out if you are moved to! When you get into a passionate state, the words and emotions start to flow and that is when people will say “yes” to you and that is when you will have the greatest influence!
When I get fired up about what I stand for, my message becomes so much more compelling and clear. It is unacceptable to me that so much human potential and service to others is wasted on fear and doubt! It’s unacceptable to me that hard-working, well-intentioned entrepreneurs leave so much income potential on the table. It thrills me to imagine a society where people speak from the heart with the intention of connecting, serving and speaking their truth!
Now I ask you, what makes YOU compelling?
