After covering this "U" in my Speak to Profit course, I ask the participants to estimate how much money they've left on the table by not having this piece of their business (and therefore their presentations) clearly identified. A sense of depression and disappointment fills the room as they sheepishly admit to anywhere from five or six figures to countless dollars depending on how long they've been in their business.
This is such a simple concept and yet so many entrepreneurs who speak are not only walking away with empty pockets but also missing out on all the ways that they could be leveraging their products and services. (Hint, hint….Leverage starts with an "L.")
Don't let that happen to you! Become the savvy, soulful presenter by featuring the "U" and watch yourself rise to the top as an expert with a suite of tastey offerings for your hungry audiences. Identify your UNIQUE BRANDING and profit with ease.
Branding is a vast topic but the kind of Unique Branding I'm talking about is not what most people think of when they think of branding. The Unique Branding I'm talking about is more than a logo, more than a tag line and more than great copy. It's the backbone of a solopreneur's service progression, and without it your business will never have the structural support it needs to thrive.
One kind of Unique Branding – just to get you started – is giving buzzy names to elements of your service content. For example, in my Speak to Profit course, I cover the "5 P's of Powerful Promises." These 5 P's help you speak to the primary motivators that get people to tune in and ultimately buy from you. By giving those motivators a name they become memorable, marketable and meaningful. (Remember when I talked about that in a previous blog?)
The good news is that after completing the Speak to Profit course, participants who bemoan the fact that they've left so much money on the table, walk away with a clear path to start putting their Unique Branding to work for them so they…
1) stop giving away their gold
2) serve their audience with digestible bites of learning
3) position themselves as the expert they truly are
4) have a suite of exclusive products and services to offer that they otherwise wouldn't have and
5) can relax and have a lot more fun growing their business from the stage.
