Whether you are new to speaking or comfortably experienced, there comes a moment in every presentation when it’s time to ask your audience to take action and invest in themselves through you.
And while you may think that just because you’ve prepared an irresistible take-action-now offer, it could fall on cold shoulders if you are sending energetic signals infused with doubt, fear, confusion or “get” energy instead of “serve” energy.
Since speaking is one of the quickest ways to take your business to the next level and reach more of the people you are inspired to serve, it’s essential that you learn how to embody a vibration – an energy that puts you and your audience at ease. The technical know-how can get you half way there, but how you “be” plays a powerful role in your success.
The few minutes you invest in learning how to get centered and clear can easily pay you back in solid confidence, more sales and new clients.
Here are 3 mindset shifts from my “best of” file that will help you confidently extend your offer from the stage with authenticity and grace.
Shift #1: Connect with Their Dreams
From the time you craft your signature talk to the time you step on stage, imagine yourself in their shoes, connecting with the yearning in their hearts for whatever their big dream might be.
People need you to help them see what’s possible for their health, their relationships, or their finances. Many of us didn’t have upbringings or circumstances that powerfully believed in and stood behind us. When you sink into your heart and get in touch with their deep desire, your fears diminish and they get a sense of the real you – the one who’s vibration they want to be in and the one they can trust to be an advocate for their dreams and aspirations.
Shift #2: See Into What Needs Healing, Fixing or Solving
As women we have a tendency to take care of people and want to avoid making anyone feel uncomfortable. But the truth is that when you gloss over or skirt the hidden wounds or invisible problems, your audience won’t feel seen, heard or understood by you. And as a result they won’t take action to transform their condition through your offerings.
If you were an angel watching over them for a day, what would you see them struggling with, worrying about, or even denying? Letting them know that you “get” them will help them open their hearts and minds to the solution you offer.
Shift #3: Offer Them a Path
Your potential clients need to feel you behind them, advocating for their potential. Get them started with simple steps in your talk but also offer them a clear path to deeper and lasting transformation through your services and programs. Unless you offer it, they won’t know a solution exists and they usually won’t think to ask.
